Toronto International Antiquarian Book Fair
October 12, 13 and 14, 2012
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Dear Colleagues,
The Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of Canada is very pleased to announce the 2012 Toronto International Antiquarian Book Fair (TIABF) which will run from Friday, October 12 through to Sunday, October 14, 2012. We will be returning to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in the heart of downtown Toronto.
In this changing world the board of ABAC strongly believes in the importance of book fairs and are working hard to continue to improve the Toronto International Antiquarian Book Fair. We’re pleased to announce we’ve moved the date of the fair forward by two weeks to October 12-14. Also we’ve changed rooms and this year will be located on the first floor, just a few feet from the Convention Centre’s main entrance.
In 2011 total exhibitor sales topped $1,000,000, and the fair drew almost 1,500 visitors which included many special collection librarians and important collectors.
The Greater Toronto Area is the heart of the most densely populated region in Southern Ontario known as the Golden Horseshoe and home to 8 million residents, making it the seventh largest metropolitan area in North America. As Canada's economic capital, the city is the home of the Toronto Stock Exchange, the world's seventh largest, along with the majority of Canada's corporations.
Once again Caladex will be the official fair shipper and they will make shipping books to and from the fair easy for international exhibitors.
We only have space for about 45 exhibitors at the TIABF and we are certain that the booths will sell-out quickly.
Please contact the TIABF fair coordinators Jeff and Wendy Gadsden as soon as possible at gadsden@antiqueshowscanada.com with your booth preference and to reserve your booth.
For further information visit the TIABF website: www.torontoantiquarianbookfair.com.
We hope to see you in Toronto,
Liam McGahern
